Project Overview

Unfortunately, due to privacy reasons, I am unable to show the bulk of the work that I did with Mercy Education Project during my design collaboration. My certificate of completion for this project is linked here. As a UX/UI Design consultant, I supported their team by leading design on multiple program and communication initiatives, specifically focusing on improving accessibility, usability, and impact across their digital and print materials. Here are some brief notes about the work I did during this time:

● Single-handedly constructed an Information Architecture model using Figma to organize and streamline program resources and navigation across multiple platforms, serving as a basis for clear user pathways and accessible content delivery.

● Collaborated and communicated effectively with MEP staff and stakeholders to brainstorm layout solutions that enhance the user experience through practical design principles such as natural mapping, visibility, consistency, and error recovery.

● Created a brand UI Kit for Mercy Education Project, designing key text elements, icons, and components to be used consistently throughout program materials, digital platforms, and communications. Through this work, I researched new and impactful ways to strengthen MEP’s branding and visual identity, implementing these changes into current and upcoming materials and platforms.

● Individually selected to work cross-functionally with MEP’s communications and web teams to redesign web layouts and program content, better aligning with user needs and updated branding. I coordinated with operations and development staff to test the functionality and implementation of prototypes, adjusting accordingly based on user feedback and critiques.

● Improved program materials’ usability through consecutive rounds of user testing, re-evaluating layouts and designs to better suit user tendencies and goals as they navigate through the platform.

● Designed and prototyped numerous screens and assets for web and program materials, supporting MEP’s services that reach 200+ participants annually and contribute to 5,000+ lives impacted over 34 years.

● Employed effective and thorough problem-solving skills to identify user needs, resolve team constraints, and improve the overall user experience across Mercy Education Project’s digital platforms.
