My passion lies in crafting inclusive experiences that people of all abilities and backgrounds can enjoy without obstacles, combining the power of accessibility and artificial intelligence. I’m a highly intuitive and driven product designer with a background in Information Science (UX) Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, and Business at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!).

My strength is turning human needs into systems, systems into patterns, and patterns into business-ready designs. As a first-generation college student my journey began as a nursing major at Michigan State University, but a single anatomy class sparked my interest in design and technology. Inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat and Aaron Swartz, I took the leap changed schools, majors, and never looked back.

With 3+ years of experience, including roles at Meta, Salesforce, and early-stage startups, I’ve worked across a range of design challenges.

My Design Journey

From the Farm to Facebook: My Path Towards Human-Centered Design

The Beginning, Spring 2022

The Beginning, Spring 2022

Finding My path

I began studying Nursing at Michigan State University, but during an anatomy class I realized my passion was creating work that could impact not just one patient, but millions through technology. Inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat’s raw, urgent fusion of emotion and social truth, I followed a creative path, transferred to the University of Michigan, and created my first portfolio!

Farm Internship

Cultivating a connection to my family’s ranching roots and preparing to start a new school in the fall, I pressed the reset button by interning on a farm this summer. I harvested over 3,000 garlic bulbs and potatoes, gaining hands-on experience from planting to selling. This work deepened my appreciation for human connection, honoring my ancestry, and strengthened my desire to serve others, ultimately influencing my course of study.

Meta Internship

I joined Meta as a Product Design Intern in Menlo Park, California, on Ads & Business Monetization. I redesigned the Events Manager Education Experience, making complex tools more intuitive for millions of advertisers. Working with XFN Partners my work increased engagement, streamlined workflows, and reinforced how design can shape experiences and deliver real impact.

Salesforce Internship

Eager to dive deeper into product, I interned as a Product Marketing Manager in San Francisco, focusing on design. I led the redesign of AppExchange’s Learn section, improving accessibility and discoverability by over 50% and boosting engagement for millions of Salesforce customers. The experience reinforced my passion for design and technology, showing the impact of user-focused product work at scale.

Startup Experiences

I led product design for multiple startups, including Tandem, a student ride-sharing app serving 500+ students, where I optimized UX and UI with a 10+ person team. I also served as lead designer for a women’s networking platform with 250,000+ users, shipping quickly, iterating often, and delivering impactful user experiences.

Product Design + MS-HCI

I’m completing my undergrad in Information Science (UX), Anthropology, and Business at the University of Michigan and preparing for an accelerated master’s in Human-Computer Interaction. Designing for startups and large platforms has reinforced my commitment to product design, creating human-centered, accessible experiences. Coming from a background where technology wasn’t always visible, I’m driven to empower students like me and use design to make a positive impact.
