Signals Growth Technologies, In-Product Education Redesign
Project Overview
During my summer internship as a Product Designer on the Signals Growth Technologies team at Meta, I focused on redesigning in-product education within the Events Manager experience. I leveraged critical product thinking and design skills to address real user challenges that impact businesses globally. My work included conducting design critiques, brainstorming solutions, and presenting high-fidelity interactive prototypes to key stakeholders.

My Design Process 👩🏻💻
One standout aspect of my design process was my approach to scope. As we uncovered multiple legacy issues within the platform, my manager adjusted the project scope. Instead of tackling the entire flow at once, I strategically broke the project into three distinct design solutions. Each solution followed a structured design approach and, together, influenced parts of the final design shipped by the team and now used by millions!
Collaborative Research
I organized 1:1 sessions with engineers who had created a personalized dashboard for accessing Events Manager metrics. This research helped me understand the business impact for solutions!
Identifying Goals & Problems
I collaborated with product designers to revisit prior work within Events Manager and gain deeper context. This allowed me to offer a fresh perspective to the problem space and design more efficient solutions.
Personas & Target Users
I integrated personas into the design process to define key audience segments within Events Manager. This ensured that each solution was grounded in real user needs and pain points. This allowed me to refine pros and cons in my designs.
Competitive Analysis
I analyzed competitor products to compare strengths and weaknesses and identify industry design patterns. This helped inform the design strategy and position our solution more effectively.
Reflection
Through collaboration, iteration, and user-centered design, I built clearer, more user-friendly solutions that made the Events Manager learning experience feel more intuitive, my ideas ended up being used in the shipped design solution! My work included over 20+ one-on-ones to refine my work, validating design decisions, and ensuring that the final product actually met real user needs. Along the way, I gained a deeper understanding of how Meta tools help businesses make smarter, data-driven decisions and I made some great friends and learned so much in the process!
I even included a few of my favorite memories below! 😊
